The Library of Things expands our collection by offering a wider range of materials for borrowing, allowing community members of all ages to discover tools and resources that help them explore, learn, create, and connect. By fostering a shared economy, the Library of Things gives you the opportunity to access items that may not be easily attainable or to save money by borrowing rather than purchasing.

Unless otherwise specified, items in the Library of Things can be reserved and will circulate for either 2 or 7 days with no renewals. Overdue fines are based on the individual item’s value, up to a maximum fine equal to the replacement cost. Items must be returned to the Circulation Desk and cannot be left in the book drop. Borrowers must have a Lakeview Library card and be 18 years or older. Only 1 item per household is allowed.
